Lt. Ted Fahrenwald's aptly named P-51B Mustang in a carving turn over a formation of B-17s from the 379th Bomb Group in the spring of 1944. Ted flew P-47 Thunderbolts and P-51s with the 486th Fighter Squadron of the 352nd Fighter Group. He was forced to bail out over Normandy France on 8 June 1944 but successfully evaded capture.
