"Blue Skies over Darwin" Wing Commander Clive R. Caldwell banks his personal Spitfire Mk VIII A58-484 over Darwin in late 1944. Clive flew combat in North Africa, Europe and in the Pacific scoring 27.5 victories. It depicts George & Bill Preddy, two typical American boys who answered the call to arms during the Second World War by joining the Air Force. "Out of the Blue" Out of the Blue depicts F/Lt. Ray Thorold-Smith of No 452 Squadron RAAF in combat with an Fw190 from 6/JG 26. Thorold-Smith nicknamed “Throttle” is flying his assigned Spitfire Mk Vb W3821 UD-D. Throttle received the DFC in December of 1941 after 50 fighter sweeps and was promoted to squadron leader in early 1942. In June 1942 No 452 Squadron was sent to Australia to form part of No 1 Fighter Wing. S/L Smith was killed in action during a Japanese raid on Darwin on 15th March 1943. "Rhapsody in Red" F/O Lysle Roberts of No 457 Squadron RAAF begins a chandelle over Vestey's beach on the northern outskirts of Darwin, NT in late 1944. Roberts is flying his personal Spitfire Mk VIII A58-458. "Rhapsody in Red" sports a pin-up girl painted just below the windscreen and was coded ZP-R. Oil on Canvas, 36"x 24" $5,000.00
"Ride of the Valkyries " Rittmeister Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen leads his famed “Flying Circus” into battle in his red Albatros D.III during April of 1917. During his most successful month which the British would from then on refer to as “Bloody April” the Red Baron scored 21 of his final tally of 80 victories. Also depicted with von Richthofen is Lt. Kurt Wolff in the plum purple Albatros and Lt. Edy Lübbert in the yellow and blue Albatros. The Red Baron would continue to be the scourge the RAF on Western Front for another year. On 21 April 1918 he was shot down and killed as he flew low over the trenches in pursuit of a Sopwith Camel. Capt. Roy Brown of No. 209 Squadron RAF claimed the victory but Australian soldiers on the ground also staked a claim. To this day the controversy continues. Oil on Canvas, 31.5"x 31.5" $6,000.00

"Santiago Blue" A photo reconnaissance Mosquito cruises at high altitude. Faster than most single engined aircraft of its day, the Mosquito was perfect for reconnaissance duties. "Sayonara" In late 1942 a pair of Japanese Navy Type O A6M3 Model 22 fly over the water with the setting sun behind them. From the attack on Pearl Harbor to the end of WWII the A6M "Zero" fighter took part in almost every major air operation involving the Imperial Japanese Navy. Oil on Canvas, 24" x 32" $6,000.00
"Serenade in Blue" Featuring the legendary Lt. Col. J.C. Meyer in his personal P-51 Mustang “Petie 2nd”. Meyer leads the “Bluenosed Bastards of Bodney” of the 352nd FG beneath a backdrop of B-17 contrails over Nazi occupied Europe in September of 1944. JC destroyed 24 German aircraft in the air and 13 on the ground during WWII. In 1950 he was given command of the famous 4th FIW and deployed to Korea with the new F-86 Sabre jets. There he flew a further 31 combat missions and added two MiGs to his score. Meyer retired as a General CO of the Strategic Air Command in 1974. “Serenade in Blue” will be featured on the cover of the upcoming book “Bluenoser Tales” due to be released in early 2007. "Beemer Power" Fw190A-7 430489 depicted here was flown by Gruppenkommandeur, Oblt. Hans-Heinrich Koenig of I./JG 11. Koenig, an ace with 28 victories, was one of three pilots from I./JG 11 who went down near Kaltenkirchen/30 km North of Hamburg on 24 May 1944. Oil on Canvas, 19"x 33" $600.00
"Blakeslee Spitfire" Squadron Leader Don Blakeslee of No. 133 Eagle Squadron, eventually CO of the 4th FG, used this Spitfire Mk V to score two victories while covering the Dieppe Raid on August 19, 1942. Oil on Canvas, 18"x 32" $600.00
"Gelb 12" Unteroffizer Franz Effenberger used this aircraft to shoot down a P-47 from the 56th FG on October 8, 1943. Minutes later, he was in turn shot down and killed by F/O Ralph Hofer over the Zuider Zee. It was Hofer's first combat mission. Oil on Canvas, 19"x 33" $600.00
"The Missouri Kidd" "The Missouri Kidd/ Sho-me" was the personal mount of Flight Officer Ralph Kidd Hofer of of the 334th FS, 4th FG in the fall of 1943. Kidd Hofer, who had scored an air-to-air victory over an Me-109 on his first misssion, October 8, 1943, flew this aircraft from mid October until it was lost with another pilot at the controls on December 2, 1943.
