Custom paintings are quoted on an individual basis with prices starting at $4000 USD. The individual quote is based on the degree of complexity both of the artistic composition as well as the historical and technical research required regarding the subject. Average size is 24" x 36", but any size is available and up to a certain point does not have a bearing on price.
For example, a painting of a more simple design, such as the "Dover Patrol" painting, which required a relatively small degree of research to assure historical and technical accuracy of aircraft and background, plus presented a relatively uncomplicated composition, could be commissioned for $4000, plus shipping. In contrast, a painting of a much more complex composition and requiring a great deal of historical and technical research such as was required in "Dicke Autos", is priced higher in proportion to the increased time necessary to complete such a work successfully. This particular painting is more complex than most.

A typical custom painting usually lies in the $4000 - $5000 USD range, but "the sky’s the limit". Quantity discounts can be negotiated for orders of two or more paintings placed simultaneously. Delivery time is approximately 6 - 12 weeks, depending on Troy's schedule, from the time we receive your order and the required 50% deposit.

To anyone interested in acquiring usage rights for producing reproductions of Troy White's original paintings:
Troy White retains all rights, including copyright, of all original paintings and other artwork, including custom commissioned works. None of Troy's artwork may be reproduced in any form, by any means, electronic, mechanical or otherwise, without his knowledge, permission and express written consent.
Licensing rights for producing reproductions of artwork may be granted by Troy in exchange for payment of royalties and/or an up-front sum, as agreed upon by both parties, in writing, prior to reproductions being produced or sold. Images may be granted free of charge for one time use to non-profit organizations upon request.
As the scope of reproduction projects varies greatly, quotes for usage rights must be made on an individual basis. Please contact us for a customized quote if you desire pricing for reproduction rights.
