"Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby", a B17G with the 91st Bomb Groups 401st Squadron, returns from a mission to Dessau, Germany on May 28, 1944. She is joined by Lt. Henry White of the 328th Fighter Squadron, 352nd Fighter Group, flying "Dallas Darling", a P51B. White shot down an Fw 190 and damaged an Me-109 over Dessau that day. On the next day "Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby" would sustain battle damage and be forced to divert to Sweden. This aircraft survived the post-war period and was restored back to flying condition in the 1980s.

Detail from "Round Trip Ticket showing "Dallas Darling". The 8th Air Force was hit hard by the Luftwaffe on the May 28, mission. In defense of their oil refineries the Luftwaffe launched over 400 single-engined and 50 twin engined fighters against the American aerial armada. Losses were steep on both sides but the Americans came out on the short side as 20 bombers and 27 fighters failed to return to England. 352nd Fighter Group claimed 7.5 victories against the loss of one of their own. Captain Woodrow Anderson of the 486th FS bailed out during an intense dogfight but apparently never deployed his parachute. At the time of his death he had scored 4.5 aerial and 9 ground victories
