P-51 Mustangs
"The Boulevards of Paris" Troy White © 2006 Oil on Canvas, 33" x 40"
When I was about five years old I asked my dad to draw a picture of an airplane for me. He drew a side view of his favorite plane... a P-51 Mustang. I guess that is where I began my love affair with what I consider to be the most beautiful aircraft design in the history of aviation. Over the years I have drawn and painted the P-51 hundreds of times.
Here is a selection of what I have done in the past two decades. Click on the thumbnail images to view a larger image and read historical background information.
